Team Fitta Bodies completes the Oxfam walk again in 2010

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Huge congratulations go out to Kirsty, Christie, Emily and Trish for smashing the 100km trail walk in just over 30 hours. Blisters and all!

Oxfam stats show that less than 50% of teams finish with their full 4 members, yet not one Fitta Bodies teams has ever lost a team member during the walk.

These girls had blisters by checkpoint 3, yet they soldiered on for another 70+ km’s.

I am so proud of them all!!!

Hopefully they can get me an update to post about their experience, but in the mean time, I have attached a few photos I had from the first night.

Special thanks has to go to Darrin and Adam for doing an awesome job as support crew at checkpoints 2 and 3. They also made it to the finish line on Saturday with Rachel to welcome the girls across the finish line!

Tim, Scott and Roger did a great job of support crew through the night, but hey, it’s their duty as boyfriends and husbands!!!

An extra special thanks should go to “Spaceships” campers for donating a campervan for use during the event. Legends! Hopefully they can do the same next year!!!

Here’s a few photos from checkpoints 2 and 3.

Anyone who is interested in doing it next year, can register their interest with me now. I am thinking 2011 is the year we enter 2 teams!

Tori’s charity night

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

As most of you will remember, Tori has taken on the challenge of running a half marathon and raising money for ” Cure Cancer Australia”. She is having a charity movie night, so read on below…

Hi Fitta Bodies crew

Lots of you have probably heard me say that I am running the Sydney marathon in a few weeks time – my first ever marathon.  Along with my friend Bec (who also used to come to morning training a couple of years ago!) I’m having a fundraising film night for our charity, Cure Cancer Australia on 7 October at Randwick Ritz.

Attached is an invitation with all the details, I’d love to see some of you there if you can make it! Feel free to circulate to family & friends, the more people, the more we raise for a great cause!

Cheers,

Tori

Mind over matter

Monday, August 9th, 2010

Most have you have experienced the mind games you encounter when you first attempt to do box jumps. I can assure you that everyone goes through the same thing, but you’ve just got to take that leap like Debbie did and soon enough you’ll be jumping onto the biggest box available…

Darrin does it Internationally

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

So while Darrin is overseas playing volleyball for our country, he has also been doing a little personal training of his fellow team mates. And taking the Fitta Bodies Octopus international!!!

So this is what my clients get up to when they are away… I’m impressed!

Adam and Tristan take on the Monday night CrossFit style class

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Only Tristan and Adam could make last night’s class, which means they get a lot of attention!!!

We started off with a deconstructed “FRAN” 5 Thrusters and 5 Pull ups, 9 rounds for time.

That set the tone before we tackled another couple of short but high intensity workouts.

Wild and Windy morning!

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Wow what a morning we had today.

Those winds were crazy! We ended up in my PT studio for a weights circuit instead of boxing in the park! It’s always worth turning up!!!

Christina’s Olympic lifting debut
